Walking The Dunrobin Castle Gardens
I remember I read about the Dunrobin Castle long time ago, but I could never imagine that I would visit that spectacular landmark.
Our cruise included in its itinerary one stop near Inverness, Scotland, we usually rent a car to drive around on our own but we couldn't find a car rental agency near the port so we had to buy some of the offshore excursions offered by Holland America. Fortunately they were offering tours to this castle which was an excellent choice because that place has stunning gardens and a falconry show that was really fun to watch.
A history note, the Dunrobin Castle has been the home of Earls and Dukes of Sutherlabd for centuries. Dunrobin is the most northerly of Scotland's Stately Homes. 189 rooms and is one of Britain's oldest continuously occupied houses, it dates in part to the early 1300's.

The Sun Voyager is a sculpture by Jon Gunnar Arnason, located next to the Sabraut road in Reykjavik, Iceland. Sun Voyager is described as a dreamboat, or an ode to the Sun. The artist intended it to convey the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom.

Norwegian Cruise Pool Deck At Sunset
After the cruise departed Saint Thomas in the U.S Virgin Islands I went to the top deck to capture the sunset, the pool deck was pretty much empty compared to hours before so it was the perfect moment to capture this photo. This was my 12th cruise and the biggest cruise ship I've ever been, to be honest I don't like cruises this big because there are so many people. This ship has a capacity of 4248 passengers and 1731 crew members, way too many people.
Fortunately we paid extra money to stay in The Haven Suites which are hidden away at the top of the ship in the Deck 17 and 18 with a private pool, bar, restaurant and a sundeck reserved exclusively for guests in these suites. It was worth every penny!

Besides the good location, the service is impressive and the room they gave me in the 27th floor had the best view I've ever seen. Definitely one of the best hotels in Singapore.

Returning To Lauterbrunnen In The Jungfrau Railway
I never thought about visiting The Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe at 3454 meters above sea level, it was a little expensive, but I really enjoyed every minute at such altitude with the spectacular views of the Aletsch Glacier.
The railway journey to the Jungfraujoch is an unforgettable experience, you can see the most wonderful views along the way through the Eiger and the Mönch. There are intermediate stations that visitors can get off the train to enjoy the amazing panoramas and to buy some souvenirs in the local stores.

The Cabin Above The Clouds
After a long debate where to go to spend Christmas this year, we decided to drive from South Florida to North Carolina. We had to find and rent a cabin in a short time, fortunately we found this cabin called "A Walk In The Clouds" exactly what I had in mind, spending the holidays at a high altitude.
At 3400 feet elevation, this cabin is the second highest in that mountain with spectacular views of The Great Smoky Mountains, of course when it was overcast, the clouds were all around the place.
Driving the mountain's unpaved roads to the cabin, without street lights was very dangerous, so we decided not driving in the dark.

View of Neuschwanstein Castle from Mary's Bridge
Leaving Zurich on my way to Vienna, we made a stop to visit this amazing castle in the southern of Germany. The Neuschwanstein castle is an interesting piece of architecture, no wonder is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe.
By the way, the Cinderella castle in Magic Kingdom, Orlando was in part inspired by this castle.

Walking the Cobblestone Streets of Luxembourg
On my trip to Brussels, I took one day to visit Luxembourg (just 2 hours by car). I have a GPS Navigation so it was really easy to get there and find a parking in the city centre near the Old Town. I enjoyed walking the Old Town's cobblestone streets and visiting the the medieval sites and historic remains.

The Maltese Falcon Sailing Yacht
I saw this spectacular yacht when it was heading to Monte Carlo. Later I found out this was the luxury Maltese Falcon yacht owned by Thomas Perkins (a multimillionaire that worked in Hewlett-Packard) who sold it for £60 million in 2009. It is one of the largest privately owned sailing yachts in the world.

I've heard so many times of this enigmatic prehistoric monument that I couldn't miss it on my trip to Southampton. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? Its purpose continues to be a mystery.

Canal Boat Tours In Bruges
I was visiting Brussels in Belgium, and someone in a grocery store suggested me to visit Bruges, another World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It's a beautiful town 1-hour by train from Brussels, where you can spend a day enjoying the intact medieval architecture, the old streets and canals.
