• Pyramid Shaped Sunset In The Caribbean

The cruise ship departed Falmouth late in the afternoon. I went to the back of the ship looking a good spot to capture the sunset, of course a lot of people were already there waiting for that moment as well. I noticed the sun drawing interesting shapes of light and shadows in the horizon, these shapes in the sky didn't last long and they were changing quickly.

  • Labadee - The Ultimate Caribbean Destination

Labadee is a port located on the northern coast of Haiti that is a private resort leased to Royal Caribbean International. I was here 10 years ago in my first cruise and as soon as we arrived I noticed the place has been improved with a lot of new attractions, there's even a private beach with bungalows right in the water for the guests booked in Suites, of course these can be rented at extra cost.

I really enjoyed the day in this private beach doing some snorkeling, taking a sunbathe and having lunch in a delicious buffet served in the Tiki huts.

  • Returning To Lauterbrunnen In The Jungfrau Railway

I never thought about visiting The Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe at 3454 meters above sea level, it was a little expensive, but I really enjoyed every minute at such altitude with the spectacular views of the Aletsch Glacier.

The railway journey to the Jungfraujoch is an unforgettable experience, you can see the most wonderful views along the way through the Eiger and the Mönch. There are intermediate stations that visitors can get off the train to enjoy the amazing panoramas and to buy some souvenirs in the local stores.

  • Aescher Mountain Hotel In Swiss Alps

After several hours hiking up to the Ebenalp mountain, I finally arrived to the Aescher Hotel. I was so thirsty that I went inside right away to buy a Coke, the most expensive Coke I've ever paid but it was worth every penny.

This hotel located underneath a huge cliff is more of a guest house since it has no more than 3 rooms, it features a restaurant in the entrance that to be honest was pretty busy. How so many people got to this point? Well, they took the easiest path, grabbing the cable car going up to the mountain and then a short path down to the hotel.

I took a rest enjoying the spectacular views and continued to the top of the mountain to grab the cable car that was going down.

  • Racing The Sun On Clearwater Bay

I went to a high bridge overlooking the Clearwater Bay to get some photos of the sunset. The sun was just in the horizon when I noticed these three jet-skis at high speed heading towards the bridge I was, leaving long water trails behind. No doubt they were racing against each other.

  • The First Light Of The Day

It's no wonder that many people like to start the day watching the sunrise at the beach. A quiet moment to listen to the sounds of the sea and the waves gently touching your feet.

  • Sunset By The Clearwater Pier

A lot of people gather in these beaches in the afternoon to watch the sunset. I was staying in a hotel right on the beach so when the sunset time was close I simply grabbed my camera to walk in the beach looking for the perfect spot to photograph the sun.

  • Trying Out Star Photography

I've read about how to photograph the Milky Way but I never had the opportunity to be in a really dark place away from the city lights pollution. The weather in the cabin was cloudy most of the time, only one day the sky was clear enough to capture the stars, so I went outside to locate the Milky Way but unfortunately in December the Milky Way is barely seen in the North Hemisphere. I was little disappointed but back at home I checked the photos and I found interesting night shots.

  • Clouds On Fire - Great Smoky Mountains

Sometimes finding the perfect spot to capture the sunset is the easiest part, but if you're patient enough shortly after the sun disappears below the horizon you can witness the most amazing events in the sky. I was about to return to the cabin when the clouds turned so red like they were on fire. Without thinking twice, I grabbed my camera and took some interesting shots.
