• Fisher Island Aerial View At Sunrise

Fisher Island is one of the artificial islands in Miami Beach which is located in South Pointe across the Miami port, this island had the highest per capita income of any place in the United States, no wonder only celebrities and millionaires can afford to live there. The island is only accessible by boat, ferry or helicopter of course.

I wanted to test my new DJI Inspire1 Pro quadcopter and South Pointe was the first place came to my mind to flight this machine.

  • Sunset In Bahia Honda Key

The Bahia Honda state park is a nice place near the Key West in Florida where many people visit to enjoy the beaches or just to walk around the park.

I've been there several times but never before sunset which is magic hour for any photographer. Even though the sunset that day wasn't the best one, the light was perfect to capture a truly memorable image.

  • Marina Bay Light Show

When I booked my flight to Singapore I was just looking for a nice city to visit in Asia. As soon as I arrived I realized that it wasn't any city, it was an amazing one with an incredible modern architecture.

The Conrad Hotel where I was staying was three blocks from where I took this photo, so after doing the check-in I grabbed my camera and I headed towards the bay area when the corcierge in the lobby told me that it was impossible to reach the Marina Bay because the streets were closed due to the Formula 1 race track. To make the story short, I waited 3 days when the race was over to be able to walk to this spot, next to the Helix Bridge (on the left), of course during the race days I was able to visit other point of interest in the city.

The light and laser show from the Marina Bay Sands hotel is something spectacular, impossible to show in a photo, for 15 minutes you can witness a stunning showpiece of visual effects by the waterfront.

In this photo you can see the Helix Bridge on the left, the Marina Bay Sands hotel with the Shoppes in the center and the ArtScience Museum on the right.

  • Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Building

Last week I returned from my first trip to Asia where I visited two impressive cities Tokyo and Singapore. I will be posting more pictures of this trip along with the stories behind them, but I got to tell you right now that I was amazed at how polite (kind) and orderly Japanese people are. The world would be a better place if we all learn from them.

Well, architectural wonders are all around in Tokyo, but I'm going to start posting this beautiful structure located in a public square by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings in the Shinjuku downtown area. I was staying in a Hilton near this place so I walked this area many times.

  • Lauterbrunnen Valley View From Jungfrau Railway

The railway journey to The Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe departs from the Lauterbrunnen station. From the train you will definitely enjoy the most beautiful landscapes in the Swiss Alps.

The train takes 1.5 hours to get to the top of the mountain, but it didn't notice the time because I was really amazed by the breathtaking views. This was one of the best trips ever!

  • Twister Cloud At Sunset In Clearwater Beach

I was staying in a hotel right on the beach, so very late in the afternoon I walked to the shore to chase the sunset and as usual nature surprised me with these saturated red clouds shaped like a twister. To be honest, I didn't notice the moon was part of my composition until I got home and reviewed the photos.

  • Driving The Grossglockner High Alpine Road In Austria

In my last trip to Europe I visited several big cities including Zurich, Vienna and Budapest, but sometimes driving from one city to the other was a long drive so I planned ahead to stay in Kaprun a small town located right in the Alps with the only purpose of driving the famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road across the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Driving a car at 2,428 m (7,966 ft) of altitude was a unique experience, I'm not afraid of high altitude but I was aware of the serious risks of driving at such altitude with occasional light snowfall. Other than that, driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Road was something of a spectacle with its fantastic road surface, 36 hairpin bends and unique surroundings.

By the way, the road only opens from May to November, I went late May and there was a lot of snow, so I guess late July you will enjoy the mountains with blossoming alpine meadows.

  • The Feigumfossen Waterfall In Lusterfjord

Late in the afternoon the cruise ship departed the Skjolden town, I stayed in the stateroom's balcony enjoying the amazing landscapes of the Norwegian fjord, when the cruise was near Luster I saw this huge waterfall, even from the distance the drop looked very high, later I found out it was the Feigumfossen waterfall with a free drop of 218 meters (720 feet).

I wished I could explore it closer but the cruise stops in every town just for several hours so it is impossible to see all the attractions. I remember that day I went to the Nigardsbreen glacier and also visit the Sengjaberget viewpoint.

  • St Stephen’s Cathedral Ceiling Design

After a long day walking the city of Vienna, we made a stop to visit one of the most important religious building, the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, the place was really crowded however I was able to capture several interior photos. I wanted to use a tripod to perfectly frame the ceiling but it was impossible due to many people walking around so I took this shot hand-held.

  • The Foxtail Palm Tree Flower

I have several Foxtail Palm trees (Wodyetia bifurcata) in my backyard but it never came to my mind to photograph their tiny flowers, these palms are endemic of Australia (I didn't know that until today).

I haven't used my Canon 100mm Macro lens for a long time so I grabbed one of the flowers from the floor, set it on my tablet screen to achieve the reflection and here it is. I'm always happy with outstanding results of this lens.
